The Robert F. Rodriguez Leadership Foundation

The Robert F. Rodriguez Leadership Foundation was established in 2022 in honor of Robert F. Rodriguez. Robert experienced the power of mentorship and leadership training in his own life. Such training and mentorship ultimately led to him growing and excelling as a leader. We desire to provide opportunities for future leaders in our community.

To accomplish our goal, we team up with local communities and organizations to mobilize and empower future leaders. We are also providing academic Scholarships, leadership development, and service based opportunities. All of which provide the ability to mobilize and empower current and future leaders.

Robert F. Rodriguez

Robert’s faith and servant leadership qualities started taking shape while he was still a young boy in Crystal City, Texas. Roberts’ mother Esmeralda R. Torres made it clear that building a one on one relationship with God and serving others was priority #1. Some of the ways that she did this was by creating opportunities where Robert and his siblings were poured into by members of the local church.

One big milestone was when Robert decided to take on his first summer job and his supervisor was Juan Gonzalez - the Associate Pastor of Primera Iglesia Bautista Robert attended as he became a teenager. Hermano Juan Gonzalez had a lasting positive impact on Robert's life because he  was a great example of how a follower of God puts others first. This mentorship experience helped Robert see first hand the positive impact a servant leader can have on others.

In the early 1990’s Robert and his family moved to Ferris, Texas. It was here that Roberts’ servant leadership qualities were on full display inside and outside of the Ferris High School classrooms.

Roberts’ faith and his desire to serve others continued to guide his decisions into adulthood as he began his professional career in the custom cabinet industry that lasted over 27 years. Robert began his career as a helper where he was once again mentored and taught how to serve his coworkers.

Throughout the years Robert took on many challenging roles and responsibilities with different companies ultimately rising to the position of Executive Vice President of Operations for one of the largest custom cabinet companies in North Texas.

Robert passed away unexpectedly on 10/8/21 leaving family, friends, and colleagues that will continue to miss him. Robert’s lasting impact inspired the creation of the Robert F. Rodriguez Leadership Foundation.

The purpose of the foundation is to mobilize and empower future leaders. Academic scholarships, leadership development, and service based opportunities allow us to mobilize and empower current and future leaders.
